Transition Year Work Experience

Placement Form

TY Students should complete the attached form to inform the school of their work experience placements. Students should complete this form for each Work Experience placement in which they are taking part.

e.g. Student A is working with a VET every Friday from September until Christmas. They are then working every Friday in a garden centre. They therefore complete 2 forms for the school.

e.g. Student B is working 2 Fridays in a sports camp, then then next 6 Fridays in a museum, then another Friday shadowing a relative in work. They would complete 3 forms for the school.

Students may use this sample cover letter from the school to assist in finding placements.

Student & Employer's Form

Students should download and complete the attached form Student Evaluation Form when they have completed their work experience placement.

Students should give this Employer's Evaluation Form to their employers to be returned to the school. This should be done at the end of each placement.

Insurance Letter

Students should contact the Deputy Principal for a letter of school insurance for their employers.
