Blackrock Educate Together Secondary School



This year Blackrock ETSS will enter 1st, 2nd year boys and girls teams along with a 3rd year boys team. Our 3rd year boys team have been drawn in the same group as John Scottus SS, Mercy SS, Goatstown ETSS, Wicklow ETSS and Firhouse ETSS in the East Dublin School League. With a couple of wins under our belt, it comes down to the final group game to see if the school can advance to the next stages of the competitions. All our other teams will compete in their respective competitions after Christmas.

Basketball is a popular, if not the most popular sport at Blackrock ETSS. Students play basketball every day, before school and during our break and lunch times in the yard. All students are welcomed to get involved!

Friday, 24th May, saw our annual Prize Day ceremony take place in the school. The occasion was a wonderful mix of performances, speeches, celebrations, and more! We thank all of our contributors and participants for ensuring the day was a


The Photography Club enjoyed their final session with a trip to Herbert Park. We congratulate them on helping with the various newsletters and sports updates this year.


Best of luck to Ben, Tim, and Beau, as they compete in the Irish Open Championships and Olympic Trials. They represent themselves and the school with pride each time they dive into the pool, let's hope they make a splash today in the arena!
