In Transition Year Music, we explore a diverse range of topics that enhance our understanding and appreciation of music!
We delve into the art of creating playlists, examining how different genres, moods, and themes influence our listening experience. We also study film music, analysing how soundtracks enhance storytelling, evoke emotions, and shape audience perceptions of the films we watch. Additionally, we engage in the creative process of composing our own film scores, experimenting with melody, harmony, and instrumentation to complement visual narratives. This hands-on experience in music production allows us to work with both digital software and traditional composition techniques, providing a strong foundation for further exploration in Senior Cycle Music.
