Gaeilge san Idirbhliain

Gaeilge in Transition Year acts as a bridge between Junior and Senior cycle. There is no set curriculum, which means that students will gain a unique insight into the Irish language.

In Gaeilge class, Transition Year students engage in various activities designed to develop and apply language skills in different contexts. Throughout the year, students complete writing exercises such as essays, debates, and creative writing. The teacher supports the development of listening and speaking skills through a range of materials, including plays, conversations, and Irish-language films.

Students will also get the opportunity to get creative throughout the year with class material by creating their own short films, speed dating, research projects, creating their family crest, and much more! As well as this, they will have the opportunity to partake in 'Tae agus Plé', where they talk about subjects of their choice with their peers.
