History Museum trip

On the 8th of November, our year went on a school trip to the National History Museum. The experience was very educational and quite fun. We went through a couple of sections of the museum filling out a worksheet. However, the place our class took interest in the most was the bog bodies. Bog bodies are people who were sacrificed to the gods. The conditions they were buried in made the decaying process slow down, and they still had bits of muscle and skin visible when archaeologists found them. They looked so fascinating that many people were mesmerised by how much detail such as hair and skin was still visible to this day. Another section our class liked was The Treasury which was a location of gold and silver items that were found in Ireland from when royalty or other noble families possessed them.
